Easter Bunny & Easter Egg Hunt!

Today was our housing's Easter party. They were smart and had it at our "pocket park" instead of trying to have it at the Neighborhood Center. The Neighborhood Center just isn't right for a long line of people and other things too. So it was right by the end of our cul-de-sac, so I just put Munchkin in the stroller and off we went! We got there about 30 minutes before the pictures with the Easter Bunny were supposed to start so we could be at the front of the line. We were 4th (I think). Munchkin didn't like him very much, she's not too keen on people in costumes, but we did get her picture. She got a little thing of bubbles for getting her picture taken, so she liked that part!! Then it was more waiting....why they decided to put an hour between the pictures starting and the Easter Eggs starting I don't know, but oh well. They finally realized that the little ones wouldn't wait too much longer and opened up the 0-3 Bunny Trail early! They had a big roped off area for other ages that started at 10:30  and were broken into 4-6, 7-9, and 10+. I really wish they'd put an upper limit on the 10+ because there were some teenagers there that were VERY greedy and rude to the younger kids. Munchkin needed some direction in the Bunny Trail because she was being shy, but once she realized she got to keep the eggs, she was happy! At the end there was a little pool filled with Easter grass (which she wanted more than the eggs!) and big eggs which we got to open to see if we won a prize. We did (just like everyone else) and she got an inflatable bunny. At first I thought it was creepy since I didn't realize that it's eyes were it's eyes, so I thought we had an eye-less bunny, but she likes it. She mainly got Tootsie Rolls in her eggs and she LOVED them! She got all sorts of compliments on how cute she is and also on her dress. I think her favorite part was playing on the playground and the swings afterward though!!

Easter Egg Princess

Upset that she didn't get to actually hold her balloon, I tied it to her basket.

Going to check out what else there is to do...

Her prize!

She didn't want to play on the playground much, but she did want to go UP the slide.

She was more interested in playing with the mulch.

Finally! Swing time!!! She got a lesson in waiting her turn for the swing today and was very good about it! She even signed please to the little boy who was in it before her!
